The S.P. Arnett Middle School project was part of a Calcasieu Parish School Board, District 23 Bond Issue. It consisted of replacing the old Westlake High School administration building, library and two story classroom building, which was constructed in the 1940's, with a modern and functional educational facility. It was completed in 2012.
